Sinus Lift
Sinus augmentation is also referred to as sinus lift or sinus graft.
It is an oral surgery procedure in which bone is added to the upper jaw in the area of the premolar and molar teeth. This is done so the jaw will be able to support the base of a dental implant. The procedure is usually performed under local anesthesia.
How It's Done
There are several ways to perform the surgery. It is done from inside the mouth of the patient by first making an incision into the gum. After the membrane is carefully lifted away, the bone graft material is placed. This is stimulate bone growth in order to support the dental implants.
